In a previous post I have detailed the vision of our Summer cabins and The Clapham Circle. And the vision grows. Some other TGCMidtown leaders bought the cabin behind us, and they graciously invited us over to "break in the grill"

Built in 1920, the cabin is full is character and charm, and smells like a gothic cathedral.

This is the first grill Gary has owned, and it turns out he owned the grill.

A few stories, a few YouTube clips, a bottle of red, some root beer and some laughter, and the grace of God on tap.

The cabin is called the Treehouse because that's what it feels like. The back deck thrusts you amid the trees with a breathtaking view.

A quick cleanup, and even a bone for the dogs, and the first of what will be many moments of connection and community are under way.

”Our homes are to be hospitals - refuges of healing radiating the light of heaven. And our dinner tables are to be operating tables - the place where broken souls are made whole again. In our churches people should find rest from their battle for acceptance and release from the lie that they are nothing more than the goods they possess. When we lower our defenses, when we remove our facades and begin to be truly present with one another - then the healing power of the gospel can begin its work.” Skye Jethani
